Jika melalui udara, anda akan melihat rangkaian ladang kelapa sawit yang teratur berubah perlahan menjadi bukit-bukau dan gunung-ganang yang menghijau, dengan hutan hujan yang belum terusik. Jika melalui jalan darat, keluasan pemandangan yang memukau akan terbentang, mendedahkan pemandangan berkabus hutan hujan Sarawak yang masih utuh. Ada sesuatu yang amat istimewa tentang Ulu Baram, yang mana banyak lagi yang belum Sebagai salah satu hutan hujan dara terakhir yang masih kekal di Sarawak, kawasan ini menjadi habitat bagi ratusan spesies tumbuhan dan haiwan, banyak daripadanya hanya terdapat di sini.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/storymaps.com\/stories\/141b1da08ca144c3a77da45491643692\">Baram Heritage Survey<\/a>\u00a0of 2023 identified 120 bird species, 67 mammal species, and 24 reptile and amphibian species, many of which are rare, endangered and threatened. These surveys are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the wealth of biodiversity in the region, as many areas are yet to be Kraf ini bukan sahaja menjadi warisan budaya yang diteruskan dari generasi ke generasi, tetapi juga satu usaha untuk memastikan budaya tradisional mereka terus hidup dalam zaman moden. Alat muzik tradisional seperti keringut (seruling hidung) semakin sukar ditemui, tetapi masih ada golongan yang gigih berusaha untuk melestarikan bunyi ini agar tidak lenyap ditelan These efforts are not just to protect the natural glory for the local communities, but also to share with the rest of the world the beauty of Upper Baram that these communities have fought so hard to protect.\u00a0<\/p><p>Oleh kerana masyarakat tempatan berusaha untuk membangunkan ekopelancongan yang kukuh mengikut cara mereka sendiri, semakin banyak tempat yang sebelum ini sukar diakses kini dibuka untuk pengunjung. Tidak lama lagi, pengunjung akan berpeluang merasai kehangatan tinggal di rumah penduduk tempatan, menikmati nasi dan sayur-sayuran yang ditanam sendiri, serta ikan yang baru ditangkap dan dipanggang di atas api terbuka. Anda juga berpeluang untuk mencuba menuai hasil makanan sendiri dan merasai hidangan tradisional. Ulu Baram juga adalah syurga bagi pendaki, dengan banyak laluan yang membawa kepada air terjun yang menakjubkan dan pemandangan indah di sebalik lembah-lembah KOPPES terdiri daripada ahli masyarakat Penan yang sedang berusaha memperkenalkan budaya mereka, serta keindahan alam semula jadi yang ada di kawasan ini. Antara tarikan yang menanti termasuklah Air Terjun O\u2019ong Tekiwit dan laluan pendakian ke puncak Bateu Layuk dan gua Bateu
